Business Club

In 1994 the first Student Business Club in Adelaide was established at Annesley College. The aim of the Business Club is to encourage our students to discover the business world and to study related subjects. This lunch time club provides girls with an opportunity to learn more about what people in business really do, how businesses operate, and encourage girls to pursue careers in business. The Annesley Business Club, together with our strong offering of business subjects such as Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematical Applications, Legal Studies, and the Technology subjects offered ensure Annesley girls are well prepared to be active participants in the business environment.

The Business Club consists of almost 40 students from Years 10 to 12. One of the activities that the Business Club provides is the opportunity to listen to various guest speakers from a broad range of professions in the business world.

The highlight of the year for the Business Club is always the formal luncheon that is held later in the year and is attended by our students, guest speakers and staff associated with the club. A keynote speaker is invited each year to the luncheon and over the years these have included Mr John Olsen, the former MP & Premier of South Australia, and His Excellency Sir Eric Neal AC CVO, the former Governor of South Australia.
