Playing in nature encourages opportunities for social interaction, problem solving, negotiating with peers, risk calculation, physical fitness, increased self-esteem and a general sense of wellbeing.

At Annesley, our teachers extend learning programs to life beyond our classroom walls that challenge our students’ inquiring minds. By applying and extending our students’ understanding of the natural world around us, Annesley’s teachers utilise natural materials and ‘living systems’ that exist both inside and outside. With access to large open spaces in which to play, Annesley’s students enjoy the wonder of climbing trees, building with materials and interacting with nature.
