Our School

Paradigm Shifters Learning Symposium

From 2016-2018 I was fortunate to spend 3 years working with Professor Yong Zhao from the University of Kansas. Through Yong’s work, here at Annesley we continue to implement the skills that our students need to be productive in the 4th industrial revolution.
The completion of this project came together on Monday 29th July at the ‘Paradigm Shifters Learning Symposium’ where Donna and I were able to present Annesley’s journey with Nancy and Katiya (Year 4) Eamon (Year 3) and Amy (Year 5). We have received such wonderful feedback about how articulate, capable and confident our Annesley students were in answering questions and explaining their thinking. Continuing to use Zhao’s work will ensure all our students will be capable and adaptable, ready to be innovators now and in the future.

SAPOL Visit

We are grateful that SAPOL are working with the School to keep our students safe. During Week 1, people driving along Rose Terrace were reminded by the visiting SAPOL officer not to do U-turns in front of the ‘kiss and drop’ zone and to abide by school zone speed limits. Our crossing monitors on the day; Banjo, Nancy and Frank, were taught how to use the radar to monitor the speed of oncoming cars.
