Pathways to Secondary School

As an ELC–Year 6 school, we are leading in our approach to learning for children in their most formative years. We are committed to research‑informed, evidence‑based practice, positioning Annesley as experts in early learning and primary education.

Our learning environment is tailor-made for ELC and Primary students, and we are focused on ensuring every child develops a deep understanding of themselves as a learner. Students are supported to discover their strengths and passions, and are empowered with the skills and attributes they need to thrive in secondary school and beyond.

Choosing Annesley as the foundation for a child’s primary education provides families with the time and opportunity to select a secondary school that best fits their child’s needs. We are unapologetically focused on early learning and primary education, but as a Junior School, we recognise the importance of creating optional secondary pathways for our students into secondary education.

For families who are exploring secondary school options with a similar learning approach and environment to Annesley, we have established secondary partnerships with three Adelaide schools:

• Pulteney Grammar School
• St John’s Grammar School
• Westminster School

Annesley enjoys strong professional and collegial relationships with these schools. Each offers Annesley families enrolment preference within their required application timeframes, and St John’s provides an Annesley Scholarship for Annesley graduates.
