The Quest

The Quest

Experiential learning adventure

The Quest showcases Annesley’s commitment to outdoor education with the clear purpose of developing human capacity in a world defined by increasing technology, complexity and diversity. Our students ‘learn by doing’ in a range of natural settings, chosen to inspire and foster core skills of collaboration, resilience, perseverance, empathy, creativity and communication.

We know children learn through authentic and engaging experiences and at the heart of the Quest is the desire for our children to develop their understanding of their world, well beyond the school gate.

At the forefront of innovation, Annesley’s unique Quest program integrates extensive camp experiences with sustained, sequential outdoor classroom programs in every year of our Primary School journey.

Our Quest program is built on our key principles

  • Sequential experiences – Repeated opportunities to grow character and skills, week on week, year on year across the primary journey
  • High challenge and high support – With the right level of challenges and the right support, children are capable of achieving beyond their own boundaries
  • Industry partnerships – Developed over a number of years, in the Quest program has forged a number of significant partnerships within the industry. These partnerships go beyond the ‘norm’ and allow us to create a bespoke program that suit our outcomes.
  • Curriculum links – Authentic and meaningful links between the curriculum and Outdoor Classroom program add depth and value to learning at Annesley
  • Camp Experiences and Outdoor Classroom connections – The unfamiliar environment, new friends and independence required for students to complete a camp cannot be underestimated. Our Outdoor Classroom programs are directly linked to build success in our camp experiences.
